We established NB Physio to share our passions, expertise and know-how for everyone.
Nathan graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2010 with a degree in Physiotherapy. Since graduating Nathan developed a passion for sports specific and movement-related conditions/injuries.
He has since gone on to complete specialised training in the assessment, treatment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions/injuries. This includes motor control retraining of movement dysfunction through kinetic control and an MSc in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. Nathan is recognised as part of the global team of movement therapists who aim to improve pain and weakness through specific treatment and movement correction.
Nathan’s ability to identify, treat and rehabilitate movement dysfunction which leads to pain, weakness or stiffness started as the personal trainer where he gained extensive knowledge and experience in developing individualised training programmes. More recently Nathan worked at West Bromwich Albion Football Club within the youth and professional development phases.
This environment highlighted the effect a tailored treatment and rehabilitation programme has on a patient’s overall recovery. It is Nathan’s belief that every patient deserves the same personable and individualised physiotherapy services.
Nathan’s past experiences coupled with his passion for improving the quality of life of others means that NB Physiotherapy will go beyond the expected in order to give the patient the best possible care and outcome.
I’m Sol and I have worked at NB Physio for 2 years now. My qualifications include BSc Sports Therapy, MSc Physiotherapy and FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football. Across my 5 years within this industry I have worked in a range of different environments from elite and academy level football, private clinics and the NHS.
I currently work full time at the Royal Stoke Hospital as a rotational physiotherapist, part time at NB Physio and part time as a Physiotherapist for Port Vale Football Club covering the under 8’s to under 18’s age groups.
My speciality is lower limb injuries including the hip, knee and ankle. You’ll find me in clinic every other Monday evening and every Wednesday evening.
Jarryd graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Wolverhampton in 2013 before completing his Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy diploma in 2019 following a successful athletics career.
Jarryd has a wealth of experience having competed at the highest level in sport, winning bronze medals at the 2015 World Championships and 2016 European Championships. He was also a member of Team GB at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Jarryd has a keen eye for movement patterns and has worked with athletes across a variety of sports to improve their athletic performance. As a Sports Massage Therapist, Jarryd is keen to enhance movement through the body using a variety of techniques tailored to the individual needs of the patient.
Following retirement from the track, Jarryd switched to middle-distance triathlon and made the GB Triathlon Age Group Team, and qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. Now focusing on running, Jarryd recently made his marathon debut.
Keen to further develop his clinical skills, Jarryd is hoping to return to University later this year to complete his Masters in Physiotherapy.
George graduated with a degree in Sports Therapy from Staffordshire University in 2019. Since graduating, he has specialised in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of an array of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. A young, aspiring practitioner with experience working in the Private Healthcare sector. He has a focused interest in optimising the physical activity, health and function of his patients.
George previously was a full-time footballer at West Bromwich Albion, his journey taking him throughout the Academy Development Phases into the u18’s / u23’s teams. He now continues to play Semi-Professional football outside of his clinical work.
Keen to further develop his clinical skills, George is currently finalising his Master’s studies in Sports & Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham. This has allowed him to shadow and learn from leading Sports Medicine Consultants, Trauma Surgeons and Orthopaedic Specialists. Whilst also completing a professional placement as part of West Bromwich Albion’s Medical Team within their youth development phases.
