Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists & Other Services
Musculoskeletal therapists specialise in the treatment of musculo (muscle) and skeletal (joint) conditions. Musculoskeletal physiotherapy operates with a more advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic approach than traditional physiotherapy.
Musculoskeletal issues can affect the entire body and require an expert to develop the correct treatment plan to help resolve or reduce the impact of the condition. Musculoskeletal physiotherapy can be used in conjunction with treatment or as the sole treatment for an MSK condition. Common examples of musculoskeletal issues are rhumetoid and osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, carpal tunnel and even common neck and back pain.
We are a team of Physiotherapists who specialise in the assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions. Following your assessment, our experienced physiotherapist will discuss with you and then select an appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plan based upon their expert clinical judgement. With advanced skills in managing injuries which affect muscles, joints and soft tissue our aim will be to optimise healing and speed up your recovery.
We can treat musculoskeletal issues with a range of different options including manual therapy and massage.
With extensive knowledge of sports performance, we know the high demands you place on your fitness and physical well-being. We recognise how long-term injuries can have a devastating effect on your career and how even the smallest of niggles have a real impact on your overall performance and mental attitude. Through progressive treatment programmes we will make sure your pathway back into action will be target led. From early stage rehabilitation to functional retraining, then sport specific return-to-play conditioning, all your needs will be looked after.
We are more than happy to work closely with other members of your support team in order to build a specialist programme to ensure you get back to peak performance and enjoying your sport – whether professionally, as an amateur or socially.
Our Physiotherapists are all highly experienced medical-legal practitioners and work equally for claimant and defendant cases. We work closely with medical-legal providers to ensure all patients have quick access to physiotherapy services. We recognise that a delay in assessment and treatment/rehabilitation can have a detrimental effect on the patient’s physical and mental well-being following an accident or personal injury.
We are familiar with civil procedure rules (CPR) 35 and following written or emailed instruction in line with practice direction part 35 we will provide a personal injury medical report that will advise on the following:
We recognise that both the patient’s and company’s time are extremely precious, which makes on-site physiotherapy a very practical and economical benefit for staff and employer’s alike. Providing physiotherapy in the patient’s workplace helps the us gain a greater understanding of the work environment and the demands placed on the patient. This helps us tailor the treatment and rehabilitation to the patient’s needs and time constraints.
With our knowledge of anatomy, posture, and injuries that can occur from working in a poor position, our physiotherapists are well placed to do workstation assessments and provide not only adjustments to the workstation but advice on preventative exercises and posture changes that will prevent or ease pain. Small movement and postural changes can make big differences to the client’s comfort and general well-being.
We’re family-focused and treatments are fun and interactive. We want children to find the sessions as enjoyable as possible, and for parents and guardians to be able to follow up our treatment programmes at home too.
We will treat a range of musculoskeletal or neurological conditions that affect a child’s functional movement and physical development.
